Why
globalOffice
?

Because globalOffice(goffice) is the only unique Office
package product that is
- Online
- Secure and
- Platform Independent.
With gOffice(globalOffice) installed on machines,
one can save documents in
a centralised repository(XMLAcl) in XML format and can access them
across the globe. User may store the document using Microsoft Office
but he can access the document using OpenOffice and viceversa. The
centralised documents are secure and are protected by the
access control mechanism of XMLAcl. Thus only authorised and
authenticated user can access the documents from repository. Users
can share their document repositaries across the globe by setting
access permissions.
Use case Scenario:
A user in California can prepare and give a Presentation based on
word document created by ManagementTeam in Russia and spreadsheet
created by Finance Team in China. Here the word document may be
created with Microsoft Word in Windows and the spreadsheet may be
created with OpenOffice Calc in Linux, both the documents are
accessible from StarOffice and Presentation can be made in StarOffice.
No Barriers for globalOffice
globalOffice is not bound to any office package and
it is not restricted
by platforms. It is available for all kinds of users on all types of
